An applicant tracking system nobody uses is a spreadsheet with a login screen.
So the candidate stays in someone's inbox, the real pipeline stays on a shared drive, and the system holds a version of the truth that only gets updated on Friday for the report. Adoption gaps become data gaps, and by the time it shows up in your numbers it's been there a year.
the problem

built around you
Your process. Not ours.
Most recruitment tools dictate how you work. Seven20 is built around your workflows and job types, with the applicant tracking and CRM as a single system, so nothing gets lost as you move from sales to delivery. And people actually use it because it works the same way they do.

unified inbox
Every source, one inbox.
Every sourcing channel in one place. Seven20 pulls from job boards, LinkedIn, email and CV parsers to automatically create candidate records, so your team spends less time on data entry.
Gmail and Outlook integration
LinkedIn and job board aggregators
Your own website
CV parsing with automatic record creation
Email sync so no touchpoint gets lost

How Seven20's applicant tracking system compares.
Most platforms offer off-the-shelf workflows and call it an applicant tracking system. Here's how they stack up.

why it matters
Adoption is the number every other number depends on.
An applicant tracking system doesn’t produce value by existing. It produces value when the work goes through it, because that is when the reporting is real, the automations have something to run on, and the AI has something worth reading.

Which is why configuration is not a nice-to-have on this page. Stages that match the job, required fields that make sense for that job type, and data that arrives from the channel rather than from a keyboard. Each one removes a reason to work around the system.

“95% of our work is carried out on platform in Seven20. And that wasn't happening before. In fact, I wouldn't have even imagined half of it was on platform.”

Frequently asked questions
Most applicant tracking systems give you fixed stages and expect you to adapt. Seven20 lets you define your own workflows per job type, so the system works around how your recruiters actually place people, not the other way around.
Yes. Salesforce licences are bundled into Seven20. You get the full power of the platform without managing a separate subscription or vendor relationship.
Yes. Seven20 supports standard and custom job types with separate workflow logic for each. Revenue recognition, day-rate billing, contract extensions and split tracking all apply to both placement types.
It is the same system, not an integration. A sales opportunity that converts to a job carries its account and contact data through with no re-entry. A confirmed placement triggers billing, compliance checks and payroll data in the mid and back office, on the same record. Automations and AI read and write to those records directly.
Boolean and keyword search, global radius search, skills and tag filtering, and AI-ranked results scored by match quality or activity date. Any field in the system can be made searchable.
Longer than an off-the-shelf tool, shorter than a Salesforce build. Most businesses go live in weeks from a vertical template. Deeper configuration takes longer, and how much you do up front is your call. We’re using AI to automate more of the configuration and data mapping, which is shortening timelines, but it won’t be live in a single day.
Then we haven’t configured it properly, and that’s a fair thing to hold us to. Adoption failures on recruitment systems are usually a mismatch between the stages in the system and the way the desk actually runs. Bring us the desk you think is hardest and we’ll configure it in the demo rather than after you sign.
